About our Church
As pastor, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting the New Hope web site. The purpose of this site is to acquaint you with the New Hope community and to help people, just like you to connect with God.
New Hope Church was born out of a burden for a place where hurting people living in a broken world, could come to build relationships based on tried and proven Biblical scriptures; Therefore, beginning a spiritual journey with God transforming each of us into an individual of God’s design, which enables each of us to reach our full potential in this present life.
The “Life Verse” of the New Hope community is taken from Isaiah 40:31 “…those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will they will walk and not faint.” (NIV Study Bible)
Who are the people of New Hope?
Thank you for asking; we’re your neighbors, and we want to know you! We share the same schools, stores, banks, streets, ball fields, hospitals, and restaurants. We hope for many of the same things- health, happiness, successful homes, careers, meaningful relationships, and solutions to every day problems. In short we are everyday people with a desire to share our best with you.
What will I find when I visit the New Hope community?
Thank you for asking! You will find:
- A place for people who are struggling with the demands of today’s ever-changing world.
- A contemporary setting in which to find personal significance and to make a spiritual connection with God.
- A community who takes their teaching from the unchanging Biblical text and applies it to our ever-changing culture.
- An indigenous community of believers that engage the culture while remaining faithful to Biblical scripture.
- A place to build relationships based on tried and proven Biblical principals.
- A safe place where children can begin their spiritual journey.
- A church community that recognizes the church as being made up of people from different backgrounds and nationalities with many different gifts and contributions with which to build the kingdom of God. In short a place to celebrate the God given diversity of humanity. Remember, we are God’s workmanship, created to do good works.
- A place to transfer your trust to Christ, He not only pardons but also places you in his family of friends. God is building a family at New Hope and you are invited to be a part of it.
- A place to slow down and find time! It is impossible to do everything people want you to do. Each of us has just enough time in this life to do God’s will. If you can’t get it all done (don’t have time for church) it means you are doing too much. So why not slow down and discover God’s purpose for your life.
There are many more aspects of the church and many more to come as God builds His church. If you are looking for a new church home or have never been in a church setting before please know that you are invited to visit and be a part of what God is doing within the New Hope community.
In Christ,
Pastor: Glenn E. Hawkins
